Capabilities in practice
Move between audio and editable notes
Premier’s Studio 2.0 lets you drag audio onto a MIDI track to transcribe it into notes. The piano roll can adjust timing, pitch and velocity. Built-in instruments play the notes, and compatible controllers connect through Web MIDI; Safari does not support this Web MIDI workflow.
Edit separated parts and automate a mix
Split Stems separates an audio clip into aligned tracks so individual parts can be changed or processed. Automation controls volume, panning and effect parameters over time. Studio can export a full project, selected range or multitrack as WAV or MP3 for further production.

Product and provider
Product scope
Suno music creation, Speech beta and Studio 2.0 on Premier, separating generation credits, download allowances and commercial-use conditions.
Credits and downloads are separate
The Free plan has 50 daily credits. Pro includes 2,500 monthly credits and 20 song downloads; Premier includes 10,000 credits and 60 downloads. Trial downloads and Studio exports have separate rules, so unused generation credits do not establish download rights.
Cancel through the purchase channel
Web subscriptions are cancelled in the Suno account page; App Store and Google Play subscriptions are managed in the relevant store. Refunds are reviewed case by case, including some accidental or unused purchases.

Working style
What it helps you produce
Develop song ideas and lyric demos. Create audio for videos using songs eligible for commercial use. Arrange and mix stems in Studio. Turn a poem or story into spoken audio with music.
Who it is for
Songwriters and music creators. Video and audio content creators. Producers working with stems and MIDI. Prepare an account, authorized source material and a person to review and finish the output.
Use visual or audio context to start a song
Suno v6 accepts text, audio, images and video as starting context. After generation, use the editing workflow to develop the song rather than treating every first version as the final mix. Speech is a separate beta capability for spoken output.
Where it runs
Web, iOS and Android; Suno Studio runs in a supported desktop/laptop/tablet browser and is not supported on phones. Suno's service software belongs to Suno and its licensors. Custom Models is a hosted feature.
Controllers, browsers and plug-ins
Studio works with compatible Web MIDI controllers, but this workflow does not run in Safari. VST and Audio Units plug-ins cannot be loaded into Studio; use its built-in instruments or export audio to a DAW for those effects and instruments.
Tasks and preparation
Start and refine
Create an account and describe the song, style or lyrics. Generate, listen and refine a version with the available editing tools. Check your download allowance and permitted use before exporting.
Move between audio, stems and MIDI
In Premier’s Studio 2.0, split audio into aligned stems to work on parts separately. Drag audio to a MIDI track to edit timing, pitch and velocity in the piano roll, then use instruments and automation to build the arrangement. Export the completed mix or selected material for later production.
A song from a creative brief — example
Provide lyrics or describe the style and idea; v6 can also take audio or visual context. Review the generated versions and refine the one that fits the intended song.
A more controllable arrangement — example
In Premier Studio, split a song into stems and adjust its parts separately. Use MIDI editing for note timing, pitch and velocity, and automate volume, pan or effects across the track.
A file for the next audio session — example
Choose the supported WAV, MP3, stems or MIDI export for the next DAW session. Before commercial release, check the song’s creation rights and obtain its permitted download through the supported Suno channel.
Conditions to check
Commercial use requires a permitted download through Suno; free output and Remixes have non-commercial restrictions. Pro includes 20 song downloads/month and Premier 60; Studio workflows have a separate unlimited-export rule. Free trial downloads depend on account eligibility. Studio requires Premier and a desktop/laptop/tablet browser; conventional VST and Audio Units plugins are unsupported.
Files and results
Deliver audio in the format you need
Use MP3 for common listening and delivery, or WAV and stems for further audio production where your plan supports them. Paid WAV song downloads use the website; Studio MIDI export requires Premier. Keep the distinction between a song download and a Studio export.

Ownership and deployment
Commercial release needs an eligible download
Commercial use requires an eligible output and a permitted download through Suno’s approved channel. Free-plan outputs remain personal and non-commercial; remixes retain their own non-commercial restriction. A paid subscription alone does not activate commercial use for every song in the library.
Source material and licensed downloads
Source material must carry the necessary rights. Remixes have separate joint-rights and noncommercial conditions. Screen recording or stream capture cannot replace a licensed download, and provenance markings must not be removed to hide the source.
